OCI Cards will be delivered by Post/Courier only once approved and ready. Applicants are required to provide two self - addressed Special Delivery envelopes (Silver Royal Mail Envelopes) to return the Passport with OCI Card OR you can use the secured courier service offered at the centre., Two envelopes per application are required to return the original documents and processed OCI Card. You can also seek information from the advisor at the application centre for secured delivery courier services available at the application centre. Applicant can check the status of their application Online Only.
Applicants are required to check the status online and when status shows OCI received in London/Birmingham/Edinburgh on a particular date, the following documents must be submitted to the India Visa and Consular Services Application Centre, where original application was submitted for OCI.
Applicants can submit the below documents for OCI stamping between 8:30am -11am (all working days). All cases submitted after the advised time, will be sent to the High Commission of India or its respective consulates, the following day. For all cases submitted after 11am, there will be some ‘waiting time’ involved, as the preference will be given to other services with appointments.
Once the passport and status report is submitted at the respective VFS office, the turn-around time would be a minimum of 7-10 working days (subject to the completion of the necessary processes) by the High Commission of India and its Consulates in the UK.
